To those who are undecided about their faith or think this is a bunch of gibberish. You might want to rethink that. To those who say... "Oh I don't need to pray right now, I have my whole life to figure it out!!" Well I have news for you. You don't have your whole life to figure it out. Actually, you could wake up tomorrow morning and the whole world would be in complete destruction, because people are disappearing right out of their clothes. Well if this happens... it's not an alien abduction... or just a coincidence... It's God trying to get your attention!! It's called the rapture. The rapture is when God brings all of his children up with him to Heaven, and gives them new heavenly bodies. So if this happens and you are still undecided, don't say i didn't warn you. I'm giving you a choice right now to make a decision that could change your life forever. that could mean giving up friends, families, relationships, but that would be for the good. If you're ever doing something you know you shouldn't be doing, you should probably be getting that guilt feeling in your stomach, that little voice in your head saying, "don't do it! Don't do it!" Please don't put off this decision. God loves you and want's to be with you. Ask him into your heart and forgive you of your sins! if you want to make this decision, please pray with me....
Dear Lord,
I know i've done some really bad things in my lifetime and I know you can forgive me of them. I believe you sent your son down to pay the penalty of my sins. I'm giving you my life, Lord, and I pray you take it and do well with it. In your name I pray, Amen
If you just prayed that prayer please e-mail me: fitzgracesimons@aol.com or sarah: loveacoconut@aim.com and tell us of your experience, or just ask us to pray for you

Some people ask me what the verse in the entry below, John 3:16, means. So I figured you ought to know the meaning of the verse you memorize. Jesus was God in the flesh. He was sent down from Heaven to live a perfect life. Well, Jesus succeeded in that goal. Jesus was a very compassionate, loving man. If you say that God is an evil person, you are wrong. The only thing that can seperate us from having a relationship with God is sin. But Jesus changed that. As I said, he lived a perfect life, but Jesus died as a sinner. He was pinned to the cross because people thought he was an evil sinner. Jesus could have called down fire on all of them. But he didn't because he wanted us to have a relationship with God. He died for our sins even though we didn't deserve it. I think we owe our lives to Jesus.
So next time some one asks you what this verse means. You can tell them these exact words.

Have your Bible with you when you read—underline the verse or phrase that God used the most to speak to you.
James 1:1-12 (NIV)
James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes scattered among the nations: Greetings.
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.
The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position. But the one who is rich should take pride in his low position, because he will pass away like a wild flower. For the sun rises with scorching heat and withers the plant; its blossom falls and its beauty is destroyed. In the same way, the rich man will fade away even while he goes about his business.
Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
KEY PRINCIPLE:
Life like a flower is brief, and yet man gets so caught up in time and projects that trials become a frustration to his plans. God, however, sees a bigger picture—one where trials benefit man and help him to gain both perspective and perseverance in life.
APPLICATIONS THAT HIT HOME TODAY (decide the most appropriate)
· When a hard time (trial) comes today I will trust God enough to thank Him for the lesson I will learn. (vs 2-4)
· Today when I don’t know what to do I will ask God for wisdom and respond to the situation with confidence believing God has given me enough wisdom to respond correctly. (vs 5-8)
· Throughout my day I will think about the things I am doing that will be rewarded in heaven. (vs 9-12)
REALITY Check- (1=low — 10=high)
Today I applied what I learned _________ (1-10) |
Today's Memory Verse: John 3:16
for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes
in him shall not perish, but have eternal life
